Perfect for private dinners, receptions, and group activities, the Glass House is at the center of Mar Vista. Designed like a greenhouse, it has room for 40 guests at a single table that stretches the length of the structure. As a city dweller, there is something magical about Mar Vista. It may be the charming 1930's/40's cottages with gas-powered stoves, or the serene setting full of colorful chickens, or a vegetable garden surrounded by woods, or the breakfast. Fresh eggs are delivered daily & strolling to the vegetable garden to harvest herbs to make a delicious omelet was the most wonderful experience.
Wonderful hosts with exceptional service. The nearby towns are charming, with many stunning hikes along the bluffs. The garden is paradise - you can pick anything your heart desires. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys connecting with nature & wants a respite from busy life. Still thinking about those farm fresh eggs...
It is hard to describe how special this place is! We have been many times over the years, and most recently visited for a Wellness Weekend retreat which we loved everything about. Cab and Deanna, the proprietors, are so lovely and accommodating. They take exceptional care of the property and guests. The cottages are adorable and perfect. The property is gorgeous, and the farm animals make it extra special. I cannot recommend Mar Vista enough and cannot wait to go back!
