At Mar Vista, outdoor settings from fire pits to forest trails allow teams to build stronger relationships, collaborate, and have fun—often all at the same time. Just a short walk along our private beach path to a secluded cove and fully ensconced in nature, yet with Wi-Fi to ensure you can connect with the office, it’s a place where inspiration, meditation, and innovation blend perfectly. Perfect for business leaders, meeting planners, and wellness educators (yoga, reiki, breath-work, etc.) seeking a special space for momentous impact. 

The Glass House

Our Glass House can host small meetings and retreats (along with associated activities), private dinners, cocktail hours, and other functions. We’ll provide planning support and connect you with trusted vendors and partners for catering as well as other services. And nearly all of our activities, from stargazing to gardening classes and even “Chicken Chats,” can be transformed into unique and memorable team-building exercises.

Typically, the use of the Glass House is only for cottage guests or part of a group staying at the cottages. 

  • Minimum $100 rental fee includes basic tables, chairs, and oil cloth for up to 12 cottage guests
  • For an additional $20pp we will set the tables with our dinnerware, candles, and flowers (in-season). We provide trash cans, recycling bins, and bus tubs for your dirty dishes (we do them for you!).
  • Any groups of more than 12 people, will fall under our Celebration Rates. Please inquire directly for more details.  More information on larger gatherings is also included on the Weddings & Celebrations Page. 

All Glass House Reservations during your stay need a minimum of two weeks advance notice by calling or emailing.

Mar Vista Wellness Retreat for 2-4

$1,000 for two PEOPLE/$2,000 for four, not including taxes or optional enhancements

This escape is designed for couples, friends, or family members seeking a restorative reset. A personalized itinerary of exploration and restoration can be developed with the proprietors two weeks in advance, including offerings below or other modifications:

  • Single-bedroom cottage for two nights (best available at time of booking)
  • Reserved Upper Deck retreat area for up to 3 hours on day of choice, or split over two days
  • Guided  Meditation – Day 1 (up to 30min) forest or lookout*
  • One-hour Beach* Morning Yoga class OR Garden Tour -Day 2
  • Reserved Soaking tub for one night with complimentary beverage of choice
  • Breakfast basket which includes bacon OR plant based protein, locally baked bread, jam, organic berries or citrus and local coffee or tea.
  • Specialty beverage and passed snack on final evening in the Flower Garden
  • Custom cottage table bouquet from our gardens
  • Also includes our daily amenities of fresh Harvest Garden access and fresh egg delivery each evening for your breakfast preparation the next day
  • All classes/meditations offered by Mar Vista Farm + Cottages proprietors

Intimate Retreat

$2,500 use fee, not including taxes or optional enhancements

Requires rental of at least two additional cottages, and a maximum of FOUR, for two nights minimum, sold separately.

Host an unforgettable event for your leadership, yoga, or wellness clients—this offering includes use of our unique Glass House and Reception Lawn, as well as other Mar Vista benefits.

  • One single-bedroom cottage for facilitator, for same duration as other cottage rentals
  • Available for up to 10 participants or maximum cottage occupancy for additional per night/rate.
  • Reserved access to our private beach trail, the Upper Deck retreat area, or Glass House for one full day or up to two full days if nights are added
  • Use of Glass House and Reception Lawn for evening gathering
  • Table flowers by our gardeners*
  • Meeting tables and seating, with setup and removal as scheduled in advance
  • Drink station with water, coffee, mint tea, (hot or iced)
  • Also includes our daily amenities of fresh Harvest Garden access and fresh egg delivery each evening for your breakfast preparation the next day

Large Retreat

$15,000* for full-buyout use fee, including all cottages for two nights; additional nights negotiable.

Glass House seating capacity is 48; yoga mat capacity is 15 plus the instructor.

A full-property retreat at Mar Vista is truly special—our nine acres are yours to explore, full of promise and potential for you and your clients. This package includes a welcome reception, guided meditations, and much more. Inclusions:

  • Accommodations for up to 30 cottage guests with directed parking for two nights
  • Host classes on our beach, at the Upper Deck, in the Glass House**, or other areas—and rotate each day, if you wish
  • Table setup and breakdowns per event/class as pre-scheduled with Mar Vista staff
  • Individual or group beach meditations
  • 2-hour welcome reception with lemon water and ice mint tea (other beverages optional)
  • Flowers and greens from our gardens placed in common areas
  • Drink bucket with cold lemon water and iced mint tea in each class area
  • Basic setup for caterers and parking coordination
  • Candlelight chandeliers in the Glass House for evening events
    • Cottage table linens, china, glass and silverware available
  • Market lights setup for lawn areas at night
  • Fire pit setup daily for campfires (no large bonfires)
  • Also includes our daily amenities of fresh Harvest Garden access and fresh egg delivery each evening for your breakfast preparation the next day

Prices vary unless noted. Must be requested in advance of event. Declining any package inclusions will not result in a reduction of rental and/or package fees. Proof of insurance is required for any facilitators, professionals, vendors, or teachers. Dining prices subject to change.

Dining Options

  • Add $20 per person for breakfast buffet with gluten-free quiche, pastries, bacon-stuffed croissants, coffee, juice

    • Add $25 per student for yoga and/or meditation classes
