This is a great, easy airport if you are traveling from Southern California, or Seattle via Alaska, American, or Avelo

Our favorite route – because it shaves off some wiggly coastal driving

• Take Highway 101 north to exit 494 River Road, Turn left on Mark West Springs Road,
• Travel 29 miles
• Turn right onto Highway 1 at Jenner
• Travel 45 miles
• Turn right into Mar Vista driveway at mile marker 5 in Mendocino County (approx 4.5miles north of Gualala).

Alternate route – approx 25 minutes more of coastal driving but total timing is similar to above route.

• Take Highway 101 north to Petaluma. Take Washington Street exit.
• Turn left (west)
• Travel about 80 miles via Highway 1
• Turn right into Mar Vista driveway at Highway 1 mile marker 5 in Mendocino County (approx 4.5miles north of Gualala).

Non Coastal route – This is a beautiful inland route—but still a long and winding road through hills and forests. 

• Take Highway 101 north to Healdsburg, take the Dry Creek Road Exit, 505
• Turn left on Dry Creek Road, travel 12 miles
• Turn left (west) on Stewarts Point Skaggs Springs Road
• Travel 35miles to the coast. Turn right (north) on to Highway 1
• Travel 15 miles
• Turn right into Mar Vista driveway at Highway 1 mile marker 5 in Mendocino County (approx 4.5miles north of Gualala).

The longest route –   for those that want to take a scenic inland drive through Anderson Valley (approx 4 hours from SF).

Always check road conditions ahead of your travel.  Highway 128 will close from flooding during heavy rains.

• Take Highway 101 north to Exit 522 Highway 128, turn left
• Take Highway 128 to Highway 1, (approx 65miles)
• Turn left on Highway 1, and travel 35miles south
• Turn left into Mar Vista driveway at Highway 1 mile marker 5 in Mendocino County (approx 9 miles south of Point Arena).

Even though it is longer in terms of mileage, this “roundabout” way is quicker and more relaxing than cutting west across the hills on Routes 96, 3, 299, 36, 20, and 128.

• Drive down Intestates 5 and 80 to County Route 37 just north of Vallejo. Take that to State Route 101 near Novato.
• Head north and take the Washington Street exit in Petaluma.
• Turn left (west). Travel about 80 miles.
• Turn right into Mar Vista driveway at Highway 1 mile marker 5 in Mendocino County.
  
  

• Take Interstate 580 (Livermore) to 608 (Walnut Creek and Concord), 780 (Benicia), and 80 north (Vallejo) to County Route 37. Take that to State Route 101 near Novato.
• Head north and take the Washington Street exit in Petaluma.
• Turn left (west).
• Travel about 80 miles.
• Turn right into Mar Vista driveway at Highway 1 mile marker 5 in Mendocino County.
• If you miss the signs/turns and find that you are near Santa Rosa and Healdsburg, double back down South 101, and find Russian River Road west to Guerneville and Jenner.
• We are at mile marker 5 north of Jenner and south of Elk.

• Take Highway 128 in the Anderson Valley to Highway 1 and venture south.
• We are at mile marker 5 north of Jenner and south of Elk.

• 101 to Highway 1 just north of Leggett is the most obvious and quickest.
• We are at mile marker 5 north of Jenner and south of Elk.
